In October 2008 Buy-Out Central Europe II (Buy-Out CE II) acquired the Chemson Group based in Arnoldstein, Kärnten, in a classic buy-out. The Group is the worldwide leading producer of polymer additives which are used mainly in the production of PVC products.

Chemson is pursuing a clear strategy of growth in order to extend its market leadership long term. This is being done with strategic acquisitions, switching to lead-free additives and alternative environmentally-friendly systems such as calcium/zinc. Great impulse for growth is coming from Eastern Europe and Asia.

With 665 employees worldwide and production sites in Austria, Germany, England, Brazil, Australia, the USA and China, Chemson achieved in the fiscal year 2006/07 sales of EUR 261 million. It is the aim of Buy-Out CE II to support the company in pushing its development especially in Eastern Europe and Asia and in extending its market leadership.
